How We Verify Fee Rates

Fee rates change often, so every rate on this site is checked before it is published. For each platform we compare its published fee schedule with several independent fee guides, note where sources disagree, and use the figure supported by the most recent sources. Where sources still conflict, the page says so.

How we test the calculators

Each calculator is tested against worked examples published by the platforms and by independent trackers, for example a $100 Etsy sale costing $9.95 in fees for a US seller. If our result differs from the published example, we fix it before the change goes live.

What the calculators leave out

The calculators cover standard US seller rates. They do not model optional ads, boosts, subscriptions, category exceptions, taxes, refunds or currency conversion. Each page lists the main exclusions.

Updates

We aim to re-check rates at least once a month and show the last verified date on every page. If you spot a rate that has changed, please tell us through the contact page.
