Shopify Payments Reverse Fee Calculator
Quick answer: To keep $50 from the item on Shopify Payments, charge about $51.96 with $5 shipping charged to the buyer. Enter your own target below.
How it works
On the Basic plan, Shopify Payments charges 2.9% + $0.30 per online card sale in the US. If you use a third-party payment provider instead, Shopify adds a 2% transaction fee on Basic, on top of that provider's own fees.
Because the fee depends on the price, the calculator searches for the lowest price where price minus Shopify Payments fees equals your target.
Example
| You want to keep | Charge on Shopify Payments |
|---|---|
| $20 | $21.06 |
| $50 | $51.96 |
| $100 | $103.45 |
Shipping charged to buyer is $5. This calculator covers card processing only, not the monthly plan ($39 a month, or $29 billed yearly, on Basic) or apps. Premium cards cost 3.5% + $0.30 and international cards add 1%.
